PSILOCYBE LARVAE is a four-piece band formed in 1996, Vyborg (now based in St. Petersburg) playing melodic and haunting doom/death/dark/progressive metal. The band recorded four full-length albums and took part in different compilations and tributes. PL toured in Germany, Finland, Czech Rep., Slovakia, Poland, Baltic States, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine (the band shared the stage with Anathema, My Dying Bride, Septicflesh, Sadist, Sinister, Swallow The Sun and others). After 9 years of silence, Russian metallers are back with a new dark and atmospheric masterpiece ' Where Silence Dwells '.

  I received a rock and metal compilation called Area Sismica volume 4 in CD format from Italy and promoted by Mirko DeFox, producer and promoter with his various activities.. I am a big fan of such initiatives, compilations in general. Although they seem to be a medium of the past and are losing their relevance. Due to lack of time I do not like to surf the vast, endless expanse of the world wide web. Now, about the musical content. How can I handle it? Mentioning some biographical notes on each of these thirteen bands would make this review a horrible reading material. Especially since they all lie within the boundaries (or lack thereof) of rock and metal. Each of these acts has a certain something to distinguish themselves from the others. The D.O.O.D. is a nationally touring theatrical heavy metal band out of Sarasota, Florida. Their 5th studio album "Firefly", produced by the Legendary Matt Laplant (Soil, Skindred, Nonpoint etc).
